CHANTRY FLATS: Road may be closed during and after storms due to weather and sliding rocks.

Due to inclement weather, Chantry Flats trail may closed periodically. Please use caution while driving during heavy rain.  If you're unsure if the road is open please check with the Sierra Madre Police Department.

Under normal conditions the road to the canyon is usually open, although there may be temporary closures due to fires, earthquakes, bad weather, or road repairs.
The Sierra Madre Police Department closes and locks the gate at 8 p.m.
Be sure to be out of the canyon before then.
